What's on a real Subway Receipt?
Every part of the receipt has a purpose. Here is what you will find on this template and why it matters.
Store header
The top block names the restaurant and gives the street address, city, and phone number. It identifies the location where the order was placed.
Visit details
The date, time, and transaction or check number tie the order to a specific visit. They help separate one receipt from another.
Server line
The server name records who handled the order. On many restaurant receipts, this appears near the date and time.
Itemized lines
Each line lists a food or drink item with its quantity and price. This makes the order contents easy to review.
Subtotal and tax
The subtotal shows the pre-tax amount, while tax is printed separately. Together they explain how the final charge is reached.
Total
The total is the final amount for the order after tax. It is the key figure for record-keeping.
Closing message
A short thank-you line appears at the bottom. It gives the receipt a standard restaurant footer.
How the sample is arranged
This template comes pre-filled with a realistic sample receipt. Here is what it contains, top to bottom.

Tips for a Subway Receipt
- 1Keep the math consistent: item prices, subtotal, tax, and total should add up.
- 2List the sandwich, dessert, and drink lines in the order they appear on the sample.
- 3Use a clear date, time, server name, and transaction number for the visit.
- 4Show tax separately above the total, and keep the subtotal tied to the item prices.
- 5Keep the closing thank-you line short, as in the sample footer.
